WanderLust Mobile Bookstore is a romance-only, women-owned indie bookstore on wheels serving all lovers of love!
Our mission is to bring inclusive, joyful, and love-filled stories directly to the community. We center on romance novels—a genre too often dismissed as frivolous or less worthy—because we believe stories about love, pleasure, identity, and empowerment matter deeply.
By curating diverse titles and creating a space where everyone can see themselves reflected in the pages, we’re challenging stigma and celebrating the power of storytelling. As part of our commitment to community care, we also offer resources and pop-up events that support sexual health and wellness.
This isn’t just a bookstore on wheels—it’s a mobile movement for connection, visibility, and unapologetic joy.

We’ll be kicking off Pride month with our friends at Delta Beer Lab! Delta is hosting live music, local food carts, desserts from The Baked Lab, cocktails by @PioBrewing, plus queer-friendly local vendors, nonprofits, and community organizations booths to visit. Fool’s Flotilla Parade — E Dayton St. at Thornton Ave, East of Tenney Park, Madison
The flotilla serves as a quirky, celebratory kick-off to the Marquette Neighborhood Association's Waterfront Festival, allowing participants to dress up in crazy costumes to float right up to the festivities for live music, food, and artist tents! You bring your headphones. We'll bring the bus. Head out on a group walk where everyone's listening to their own audiobook! No book club discussion. No pressure to talk. Just a gorgeous morning walk surrounded by people who also think a good narrator voice is a love language.
- Choose your adventure: 2.5-mile loop (~1 hr) or 1-mile (~20 min) turnaround.
- Don’t forget to download your audiobook
- First 10 walkers to check in at the bus get a free Libro.fm audiobook credit
- Grab a coffee from Zuzu Cafe before we head out!
- Weather call by 8am day-of (a little sprinkle is fine, we're not made of sugar 😉).
